Three covers of books I purchased while in France in the 1970s depicting quite a lot of comparisons between Luis Ocana and Eddy Merckx and their friendly rivaly during that era. I am now writing my own book on Luis Ocana homing in on his professional years as a cyclist and hopefully trying to bring about a happy ending to a rider who had so much class but.........

The title of the book ; Luis Ocana - A Spaniard in France

The basis starting off with just a few months with Mercier/BP, then two years with Fagor,five amazing years with BiC, two years back in Spain with Super Ser, and finally that winding down year with the Dutch trade team Frisol. Probably not too dissimilar to the Brooklyn book insofar as size,colour but maybe a few more pages ( looking at around 300 pages in all ) depending how much can be sourced on the great Spaniard - not for the want of trying!

The colours and motif of the BiC company as shown on the cycling jersey that became so famous and associated with Luis Ocana.

Whats this got to do with Ocana - well nothing other than in my mind the chances are this would be probably the modern day bike frame incorperating the team colours that BiC may well have used?
